Fredericksburg Earth Day Festival 2016
Looking for something fun (and free) to do on Saturday, April 23rd? Join Figure 8 Ink Studios and many other area businesses as we celebrate Earth Day with hands-on exhibits, live music delicious food and more. The festival will take place at Old
Mill Park in Fredericksburg with extra parking at James Monroe High School. You can walk the Heritage Trail or use the free shuttle to get to the festival. The event will go from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (with a rain date of April 30th).
Figure 8 will have nature-themed, interactive activities for all ages, including mandala dot river rock painting, making nature impressions on paintable, air-dry clay, and nature-themed face and
body painting. Lizz and Stephen Shelton (@homemade_tie_dye) will also be there with their custom, nature-friendly tie-dye work for sale, including a line designed specifically for Earth Day!
After you visit our booth, check out all this fun, family-friendly festival has to offer. There will be tons of hands-on activities including a Touch & See Nature Bus, fly fishing demonstrations, chickens, pony rides, a barrel train, beekeepers and so much more. Enjoy live music by Moch Pryderi, Bob Gramman, cat be damned and Ask Fred. Enjoy treats from local restaurants, bakeries and food trucks.
You can win prizes in the raffle, taking place at 3 p.m. Some of the prizes include a kayak with a
paddle, a bicycle, a family YMCA season water park pass, stays at the Hampton Inn and Downtown Marriott and more. Don’t forget to bring a reusable water bottle to fill at the water station. We hope to see you there!
